Hôtels au naturel Association

The Natural Hotels group brings together 18 hotels spread across 9 regional natural parks and other exceptional natural areas, all located in privileged sites suitable for nature and discovery tourism.

Natural Hotels work to limit the impact of their activity on their immediate environment, offer eco-responsible practices and offer products and services that promote local heritage.

In each natural hotel, trained and competent staff inform you about all the assets of its Regional Natural Park. Complete documentation is at your disposal to inform you about the tourist sites to visit and the hikes that are worth the detour.

At Mas de l’Oulivié, we will introduce you to local specialties and we will make you want to meet the producers who will open the doors of their farm to you and share their know-how with you.

Evolving practices and continuous improvement

As an eco-responsible player carrying the “Natural Hotels” and “Regional Natural Park Values” labels, here are some of our concrete commitments:

In your room :

We choose materials that are good for the planet with French wooden furniture designed 5 km from the hotel.

A card switch system automatically turns off the heating or air conditioning when the guest leave their room and remove the card from the device.

Water flow reducers are installed in bathrooms so as not to exhaust this rare resource in the Alpilles.

Our welcome products based on olive oil come from the local company Une Olive en Provence which manufactures on site in Maussane-les-Alpilles.

We offer a second life to our soaps which are collected by the Sapocycle association and thus contribute to improving access to hygiene for families in difficulty and impacted communities.

At the restaurant :

For the creation of our breakfast and lunch menus, we are proud to highlight the producers of the Alpilles regional natural park and our region.

To reduce pollution from transport and avoid throwing away glass, the restaurant offers responsible and “zero waste” water! We offer microfiltered water (still or sparkling) for sale in infinitely reusable glass carafes.

In order to commit to reducing food waste, our food waste is weighed and our bio-waste from the kitchen is composted on site.

In the hotel :

In order to limit the use of plastic bottles, a water fountain is freely available to customers at the hotel bar and insulated bottles are on sale at the shop.

We have considerably reduced our paper printing by digitalizing our communication: no more room directories in the rooms but a mobile application and we are introducing QR codes on certain media.

In the garden :

We welcome somewhat different guests… Listen and look around you: you will find an insect hotel but also hidden in nature, frogs, bats, lizards and geckos,… Nature has found the ideal place here to flourish.

We promote economical lighting that respects biodiversity. Thus, for exterior lighting, all the garden paths have been equipped with solar terminals and the restaurant terrace with solar terminals and street lamps.

A CSR policy with our employees

We guarantee the health and safety of our employees at work and organize training on these topics.

In 2024, we joined the Peace & Work Program within our voluntary chain “TERITORIA” focused on the well-being of our employees.

A diagnosis of the quality of life and working conditions is established thanks to an anonymous questionnaire given to employees bringing together questions relating to corporate culture, team cohesion, pride of belonging, working conditions and fairness.

A summary report with an action plan will be written to advance our social practices within our hotel.

Display of our carbon footprint with CLOROFIL

In order to calculate our carbon footprint, we used the Clorofil tool which uses the certified “Bilan carbone method” (measurement of energy, purchases, waste and mobility).

The complete report of our greenhouse gas emissions shows a total of CO2 emitted of 106.93 tonnes excluding visitors and 1012.94 tonnes visitors included.

Our goal is to reduce our impact on naturel resources and to carry out an inventory allowing us to define priorities.

We are therefore committed to reducing our emissions by 4,2% per year until 2050 to help keep the global rise in temperatures below 1,5° C as defined in the Paris agreement.
